What is StoryMailed?
StoryMailed is an original storytelling experience delivered through physical mail. You choose a story series, purchase the complete six-letter experience upfront, and receive one physical letter each month for six months. Each letter continues the story from where the last one left off.
StoryMailed is not digital. It is not a recurring subscription. You pay once and the story arrives, one chapter at a time, over six months.
Is StoryMailed physical or digital?
Physical. Every letter is printed and mailed to your mailbox. There is no app, no email version, and no digital version of the story. The letters are the experience.
Is StoryMailed a subscription?
No. StoryMailed is not a recurring subscription. You purchase the complete six-letter story series upfront in a single transaction. There are no monthly charges, no automatic renewals, and no recurring payments. After your purchase, one physical letter arrives each month for six months.
What makes StoryMailed different from a book?
A book gives you the complete story at once. StoryMailed intentionally unfolds the story over six monthly letters. You purchase the complete story upfront, but receive it one chapter at a time — with a month between each letter to sit with what you’ve read and anticipate what comes next. It’s less about consuming a story and more about living with one.
Why does StoryMailed arrive one letter at a time?
Because the waiting is part of the experience. Most stories can be consumed immediately. StoryMailed gives you time to live with each chapter — to think about it, feel it, and look forward to what arrives next month.

What exactly arrives in the mail?
A physical envelope containing the next letter in your chosen story series. Each letter is an original chapter written specifically for StoryMailed.
How many letters are included?
Each StoryMailed series includes six physical letters. You purchase the complete six-letter series upfront and receive one letter each month for six months.
How often do the letters arrive?
One letter arrives each month for six months.
How long does a story last?
Six months. Each story unfolds over six monthly letters.
What happens after the six months?
The story is complete. There are no automatic renewals or additional charges. If you’d like another StoryMailed experience, simply choose another story and place a new order.
Can I read ahead?
No. StoryMailed intentionally unfolds one letter at a time. One letter arrives each month, so the story reveals itself gradually. The waiting is part of the experience.
Ordering & Delivery
When will my first letter arrive?
StoryMailed generally ships new orders toward the end of each month as part of the monthly mailing cycle. This gives new orders the opportunity to enter the next monthly letter mailing. After your letter is mailed, delivery time depends on your destination and postal service.

When are subsequent letters sent?
Subsequent letters are sent as part of the monthly StoryMailed mailing cycle. The goal is for one new chapter to arrive each month.
Where does StoryMailed ship?
StoryMailed ships within the United States and internationally. Shipping availability and costs may vary by destination. Please see our Shipping Policy for the most accurate information.
What does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your destination and available shipping method.
How long does shipping take?
There are two parts to delivery: the mailing cycle and postal transit. StoryMailed generally ships new orders toward the end of each month. Once mailed, estimated delivery times are:
- U.S.: approximately 1–2 weeks after mailing
- International: approximately 6–8 weeks after mailing

What if my letter doesn’t arrive?
If a letter appears to be lost or doesn’t arrive, please contact us at hello@storymailed.com. We’ll work with you to resolve the issue.
Gifting
Can I give StoryMailed as a gift?
Yes. At checkout, enter the recipient’s mailing address as the shipping address and the letters will be delivered directly to them. There is currently no digital gift card or gift note option at checkout — the six letters themselves are the gift: something meaningful to look forward to each month.

Who writes the stories?
StoryMailed stories are written by Mila Figg, the founder of StoryMailed. Mila grew up in Kenya with pen pals around the world and developed a lifelong love of letters and storytelling. Every StoryMailed story is original and written specifically for the StoryMailed format — designed to unfold slowly, one letter at a time.
